MURDER OF GERMAN CHILD

GHASTLY LETTER SENT RELATIVE. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Berlin, Nov. 21. Frau Wiese, foster-mother of the child Gertrude Ableman murdered at Dusseldorf, received two letters detailing the crime. The handwriting was the same as in the letter indicating the -whereabouts of Gertrude’s body. The longer letter fully reviewed the details, commencing in verse, and continuing with a dramatic dialogue reporting the murderer’s conversation, the child’s effort at self-defence, the knife attack and her death shrieks. The shorter letter is apparently to the child. Frau Wiese attempted suicide on reading the letters.
