CHRISTMAS CHEER

A meetin" of the Commercial Travellers’ Committee was held on Saturday evening. Street day and mock court will be held on Friday, December 6. A bun drive will also be held in the morning, and elaborate arrangements for delivery should obviate any disappointments this year. Arrangements are well forward for the big concert in the Opera House on Wednesday, December 11. The Orchestral Society and the Regimental Band will assist, besides leading artists and novelty items. It was decided not to sell parcels this year, but sympathisers may assist by purchasing concert tickets. Concert programmes will be delivered with the Luns on Friday morning. Last year £lO5 was banded to the relief committee, and every effort will be made to beat this record.
