WHALERS BEING PREPARED

THREE VESSELS AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—-Pres* Association Wellington Oct. 12. After taking aboard 4000 tons of water the whaler Kosmos went into the stream to load explosives before sailing with her seven chasers for the Ross Sea, where she will remain till the end of February. The Sir James Clark Ross will arrive to-night. The'vessel lias been converted to an oil-burner, but. will load 500 tons of coal for the five chasers which are at the Stewart Island base. The Larsen, which works in conjunction with the Sir Clark Ross, will arrive on Monday or Tuesday.
