PARTRIDGE'S MISADVENTURE. London, Oct. 3. A -partridge dashed through the engine window of the Leeds express as it was travelling at 70 miles an hour, causing glass to .enter the driver's eye. Though pluckily continued to his destination, and was then taken to hospital, where the glass was removed. An official declared that the accident was unparalleled. Trains struck hundreds of birds in the course of a year, and there was only a millioneth chance of trouble following.
