HAWERA LADIES’ GOLF. TAPLIN CUP MATCH WON. Hawera players successfully defended the Taplin Cup against Eltham yesterday at the Fairfield links, Hawera, by five games to one. The results are as follow, Eltham players being mentioned first. The first six formed the Taplin Cup team, Mrs. Wills (16) lost to Miss D. Hawken (13), 2. up and 1. Miss Hr Wilson (16) lost to Mrs. Little, 2 down. . Mrs. De Launay (18) lost to Mrs. Dickie (17), 5 up and 3. Miss M. Pease (21) lost to Miss L. Pease (20), 6 up and 5. Mrs. J. Quin (24) lost to Mrs. Gabites (21), 8 up and 7. Mrs. Haase (34) defeated Mrs. Corey (31), 1 up. Miss Wilson lost to Miss Richardson, 4 up and 3. Miss Wanklyn lost to Miss G. Death, 1 down. Mrs. Abbott lost to Mrs. Gibson, 3 up and 1.
