RE-UNION OF PRINTERS

ALL-TARANAKI GATHERING. The third annual re-union of Taranaki printers took place at Kawaroa Park on Saturday night, Mr. H. E. Carey presiding over an attendance of about 100 representatives of all parts of Taranaki. After full justice had been done to the good fare provided by Mr. Smythe, a few hours wag passed pleasantly in song and story, with a few toasts interspersed. After the loyal toast had been honoured The Master Printers of Taranaki was proposed by Mr. D. De Rungs and responded to by Mr. H. Avery; Our Trade (Mr. F. Robinson—Mr. .A. Mackay); The Press of Taranaki (Mr. J. E. Avery —Mr. T. C, List); Inkslingers (Mr. A. Weller —Mr. H. E. Carey); South and Central Taranaki Visitors (Mr. J, Garcia—Mr. G. D. King); The Caterer (Mr, H. Moon —Mr. Sriiytlie); The Ladies (Mr. H. Round—Mr. F. E. Fieher); The Chairman. The musical portion of the programme was as follows: Selection, News Orchestra; songs, Messrs. F. Robinson, Jas. Austin, H. Moon, F. Robinson junr.; banjo solo, Mr. A. Gable; cornet solo, Mr. L. Smith; community singing; “The Muse of the News” (Messrs. Austin, Boulton, Burgess, Gable, Hodge, Rowan and Whiting); “Plantation Melodies,” the Herald Angels (Messrs. D. De Rungs, Johnson, Revell, Gibson, Mackay, Rowlands, Moon and Philpott). Messrs. G. H. Weir, L. Burgess and S. Rowlands were the accompanists.
