LADIES’ GOLF CHAMPION
MRS. DODGSHUN BEATS MISS KAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The final of the New Zealand ladies’ golf championship was won by Mrs. Dodgshun (Otago) from Miss O. Kay (St. Clair Club) in a match over 36 holes . The match ended on the 38th green. Miss Kay finished the morning round I up. Miss Kay was stymied three times in this round. Mrs. Dodgshun squared the match at the first hole in the afternoon round and was 3 up at the turn. The match was square at the 35th green. The 36th was halved and they went on to the 37th, which was halved in bogey fours, but at the 38th Miss Kay was off the fairway in a bunker and took two to get out. Mrs. Dodgshun went. out in 36 and home in 39. Miss Kay picked up at one hole outward but was 35 for eight holes. She came home m 36. Miss Kay was stymied five times in the match.
