NEW YORKER WINS BIG PRIZE.

A Toronto message states that 238 entrants, including two women, started to-day in the 15 miles Wrigley marathon swim for purses totalling 25,000 dollars. At the eiid of the third lap, George Young (Toronto), winner ofjfiie Catalina swim in 1926, quit. Mrs. Evelyn Armstrong (Detroit), who finished third in the women’s swim- a week ago, was forced out by cramp. Edward F. Keating, df New. York, won the swim 'and the first prize of 25,000 dollars. Ernest Vierkoetter was second and won 5000 dollars.
