STRUCK BY MOTOR-CYCLE.

HAWERA RESIDENT INJURED. Henry Charles Stacey, Nolantown, Hawera, met with an accident yesterday morning on the South Road near the Tongahoe hill. He was standing on the road alongside his motor-cycle when a service car driven by G. Canty, Hawera, approached. The car swerved to pass the motor-cycle and Mr. Stacey stepped aside, allowing his machine to fall. It was struck by the car and in turn struck Mr. Stacey, knocking him down. On his removal to the Hawera hospital by the service car Mr. Stacey was found to be suffering from concussion and it was impossible yesterday to ascertain the extent and nature of his injury.
