PROFIT NEARLY FIFTY THOUSAND

Auckland, Last Night.

The annual report of the Farmers’ Trading Company, Ltd., states the net profit for the year was £49,335. It was £42,561 last year. Dividends of 7 per cent, on preference shares and 10 per cent, on ordinary shares are recommended. The dividends were 6 and 8 per cent, respectively last year. A credit balance of over £22*000 in the bank was shown on March 31. The profits are subject to income tax, after the payment of which and dividends the bal-. ance to be carried forward will be over £40,000, an increase of £lO,OOO/
