KNEELING FOR PRAYER

RE-ARRANGED CHURCHES DESIRED

(By Wire —Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night.

“The first idea to grasp is .that a place of worship is” a place to pray,” remarked Bishop Cherrington .in the course of an address at the Forest Lake Hall, Hamilton.

“Some day I hojie all our churches will be arranged'for kneeling, not'for sitting. Everyone should kneel or stand; and if they cannot stand they should lie down on tiie floor. Kneeling is the natural way to worship, 'whether the floor be of stone or of wood; not that external things are so very important, but kneeling is the right and proper position for Christian prayer.” .
