The Taranaki Agricultural Society’s 53rd .Annual Show will be held at New Plymouth on Wednesday and Thursday, March 6th and 7th next. Entries for this fixture will be accepted up to Friday, 22nd February’, at 9 p.m. Prize lists are now available, and may be had free on application, to the Secretary {Mr. W. P. Okey), whose address is Box 18, New Plymouth. In the horse section several new classes have been introduced, among which is a class for maiden hunters open to horses? belonging to members of the Taranaki Hunt Club, that have not won a jumping competition at an A. and P. Show at time of entry. The Taranaki Hunt Club has donated a handsome cup for the first p-ize in this class. The prize-money throughout the cattle section is liberal, and in addition a number of valuable trophies and gold medals arc offered for competition. Grade cattle have not been overlooked so that owners of good grades will find classes in the schedule for their stock. Those Loys and girls who competed in the competition under the auspices of the Boys’ and Girls’ Agricultural Ciubs are given an opportunity of again exhibiting their calves at the Show, and competing... for the tempting prizes that arc offered. The She(s> sections are well endowed with cash prizes, trophies and medals and the Pig sections have been treated liberally’ in this respect also. It is hoped that breeders will accord the Society all the support they cat. in the shape of large entries.- The officials of *ue Society will ,do their part by seeing thafr. all stock is exhibited under the most favourable conditions.
