ENGLAND SEEKS LESS WOOL
“WOMEN WEAR LITTLE CLOTHING” (By Wire.—Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. “Women wear little clothing nowadays and less New Zealand wool will bo required this season for the English market,” said Mr. F. Clark, a wellknown Bradford wool-buyer who arrived at Auckland by the Niagara to-day. Mr, Clark said he was of opinion that at the coming New Zealand wool sales lower prices would rule in comparison with last season, although they would be fair prices as far as New Zealand farmers were concerned. There was a big and increasing demand for rayon. Rayon stockings for women had largely replaced the warm woollen ones that used to b© worn. In addition rayon was being used for other articles of women’s clothing and where artificial silk sufficed, and was the fashion as well, there was no demand for woollen clothing of a like nature.
