FAREWELL TO MR. ROBERTS. (From Our Own Correspondent). A party gathered in tiie Parish Hall on Friday evening to bid au revoir to Mr, Geofl'. Roberts, who is leaving for England in a week’s time. A member of a very highly respected family (the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Roberts, Geoff, lias always held the high esteem of the residents of Inglewood. On arriving in England he intends to join tho Flying Corps and eventually hopes to take up commercial aviation. On behalf of the swimming club Mr. T. Lindsay presented the guest with a leather suitcase. Mr. Lindsay referred to the excellent manner in which Mr. Roberts had carried out the duties of secretary to tho club, and assured him that he carried away with him in his new venture the best wishes of the Inglewood Swimming Club. Representing the parishoners of St. Andrew’s, the Vicar presented Mr. Roberts with a silver wristlet watch. The vicar referred to the splendid spirit of adventure shown by the guest in striking out for a new land to prepare himself for that which must surely be a great factor in coming years—commercial aviation. Whilst all were sorry to say goodbye for the present, yet nil hoped that success would follow him as it had his brother, Dr. Ken. Roberts.

The presentations having been made eno whole company stooa and sang with good will “For He's A Jolly Good Fellow.”
