MOTOR-CYCLE TRIALS

INTERNATIONAL EVENT BEGINS. British Official Wireless. Rugby, Sept. 11. The international six-day motorcycle trial, in which Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Holland are competing, began to-day over the Yorkshire moors. Much interest w.v shown-in the team of three English girls, Misses Cottle and Foley and Mrs. McLean, who are defending the international silver vase which they won against foreign male competition last year. Many of the motor-cycles ridden by British competitors are next year’s models and show a marked improvement in the reduction of noise.
