MOTOR GARAGE BURNED

I outbreak at whakatane. Bv Telefirapb. —Tress Association. Whakatane, May 22. The most spectacular fire that has 'occurred at Whakatane for years comj pletely destroyed the R.M. garage last eveniiw. The building, which was a i large wooden one, contained six cars, ‘all of which were destroyed, together with stocks of tyres, oils and tools. The brigade made a good save of adjoining buildings. Cars owned by the R.M. Company, the inspector of machinery Sargood, Sou and Ewen, and E. W. Beckett "were insured, but those owned bv Ruddy and Sloane and Beargram were not insured.
