GIRLS’ FRIENDLY SOCIETY

THE MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Girls' Friendly Society was held on Tuesday afternoon in the lodge. There were present: Mrs. Stephens (in the chair), Mesdames Lysons, Shoemark, Sargent, and Home, Miss Godfrey, Alias PercySmith and the matron. Apologies weie received from Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Doekrill and Mrs. Dinniss.

The matron reported that all single rooms were filled permanently, and that there was a satisfactory promise iur the future. She also reported on the purchase of furniture, curtains and house linen that were needed.

The Trust Board having given permission to use some of the ground adjoining, behind St. Mary’s hall, for a kitchen garden, the question of fencing was discussed.
