AMERICAN TRADE BALANCE
FAVOURABLE NINE MONTHS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, Oct. 14. The Department of Commerce announces that the United States closed tho first nine months of the year with a favourable trade balance of 356,868,000 dollars, compared with 87,013,000 for the corresponding period of 1026. Exports totalled 3,500.407,000 dollars; imports, 3,152,539,000. September was tho largest export month with 426,000,000 dollars.
Gold exports for the nine months period amounted to 57,637,000 dollars; imports, 192,947,000 dollars. Silver exports, 56,849,000 dollars; imports, 41,132.000 dollars.
