GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
PROSPECTS FOR TODAY. (By Wire —Special to News.) Hamilton, Last Night, The weather to-day cleared up splendidly and everything promises for a grand day for the opening of the championships to-morrow. Nearly all the competitors .were on the links to-day and some fine rounds were recorded. Moss, Macintosh, Shaw, Duncan, Horton and Morpeth all played well. Quin returned a 76 and 78. Dale showed greatly improved form and Grey, after spending the morning in practice, played well this afternoon.
The win of Kapi Tereha and Fryer yesterday was very popular, and the former is expected to put up a bold showing in the open championship.
