STRAIGHT BANANA SEEN
PRIZE OF £lO,OOO CLAIMED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Aug. 31, 5.5 p.m. London, Aug. 30. When a firm of London music publishers introduced the song “I’ve Never Seen a Straight Banana,” they offered £lO,OOO reward for the discovery of a specimen. A resident of Jamaica, Mr. R. Livingstone, recalled this when he picked one in a Kingston plantation. He hgd it photographed, officially measured, pickled in formalin and deposited in a bank. His solicitors are now claiming the reward.
