PROGRESS OF BORING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, Aug. 30. Taranaki Oil Fields, Ltd., report:— Waiapu No. 2 Well.—Depth 2150 feet in grey shale; a good showing of gas; BJin diameter easing to 2140 feet; water increasing.
Gisborne No. 1 Well.—No progress has been made owing to difficulty of underreaming; 12Jin diameter casing is nowz run to the bottom and drilling resumed to-dav.
