EXTRA FRONTAGE IN QUEEN ST. £250,000 ESTIMATED TOTAL COST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, June 21. In connection with the erection of a new theatre by John Fuller and Sons to replace the Opera House which was destroyed by fire last year, additional pre mises next to Tonson Garlick’s block, already bought, have been purchased at a cost of £60,000. The price paid for the whole Queen Street frontage is over £lOOO a foot, while the cost of the whole scheme, including th e theatre and site, will be about a quarter of a million pounds.
