SERIOUS CHARGES LAID
HOTEL BARMAN REMANDED. By Te.egraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, April 7. Stanley Albert Millar, a barmanporter, who was charged on Monday with having committed a grossly indecent act on April 3 in a hotel right-of-way, appeared before Mr. Mosley. S.M., to-day and was remanded to appear next Tuesday. After the original charge had been replaced by two others, the charges against the girl in the case were withdrawn. Millar is now charged with having committed rape on a girl (name suppressed) on April 3, ana further with having indecently assaulted the same girl, Bail wag refused.
