It was decided to close the club's tennis courts on Saturday, April 23. The resignation of Miss Hartnell as one of th e social branch secretaries was accepted with regret, and it was decided to place on the minutes the society’s appreciation of Miss Hartnell’s valuable services. The members expressed pleasure in not losing Miss Hartnell as a committee member. A social branch committee was set up conisting of two members of the general committee, two members of the choral branch, and two ladies and two gentlemen members of the orchestral branch. It was hoped to resume the social branch meeting on Saturday, April 30, when it was hoped the prizes won at the recent club carnival would be presented, also the various club cups and trophies recently competed for.
