NEED OF GREATER PRODUCTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Jan. 4. The Minister of Health (the Hon. J. A. Young), in opening the annual conference of the New Zealand Association of Nurserymen, emphasised that it was the duty of the Government as well as the conference to assist those engaged in primary industries to do their utmost to increase production without the expense of more labour. He also appealed to the fruitgrowers to concentrate on standardisation, particularly in regard to varieties of apples.
