DROWNED IN LAGOON
RESCUE ATTEMPTS COMMENDED By Telegraph.—Preaa Aasociation. Timaru, Last Night. At the inquest to-night on the body of John William Hobbs, aged fifteen years ? the son of John Hobbs, of Timaru, a verdict was returned that the deceased was accidentally drowned while bathing in the Milford lagoon, near Temuka. The action of the deceaseds mates in attempting to rwue h.in waa commended.
