CUSTOMS REVENUE

BIG INCREASE IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Customs revenue for 1926, exceeded that of 1925 by £58,(157, the respective totals being £2,509,841 and £2,451,784. The returns for December amounted to £230,805, as against £201,184 for December, 1925.

DECREASE AT CHRISTCHURCH. Christchurch, Last Night. In 1926 the sum of £1,163,050 was collected in Customs duties in Christchurch, a decrease of £11,227 on the figures for 1925. There was also “a decrease in the beer duty figures for 1926 being £88,746 and for 1925, £90,785, a decrease of £2039.
