PREMIER'S CONGRATULATIONS.

Mr. J. G. Coates was present at the new gallery trade showing of the film "Hinemoa.” There was excellent photography, scenery and portrayal of Maori customs and dances, but a certain demlernee® of plot and paucity of incident. Mr. Coates, speaking after the show, said; “I was delighted to be privileged to witness this first venture by the producers to use New Zealand as a milieu o' film production. The Maoris were among the most loyal and generous ,of the Empire’s citizens. New Zealand has many lovely Jakes, and lands. 1 heard Hinemoa’e love story in my own infancy. J think the production splendid.’’
