DRAMA OF OCEAN TRIP.
ABDUCnOF! STCRY. A pathetic little drama took place on the Gunard liner Alaunia when she called at Plymouth from America. Acting on- cabled instructions from Ottawa the police took charge of an 8 years-’ old boy, Roy Lawrence Neilson, who, it is alleged, had been abducted. The hoy arrived in the care of Mrs Ruby Henshaw, who eiaipfis to be his grandmother by marriage, and says that he has lived with her practically all his life. As the boy cried bitterly at being parted, Mrs Henshaw accompanied him ashore. She said that a few hours before she was-leaving Canada Roy's mother telephoned to her, claiming the boy. “As Kly Own Child.’ 1 “All I cate for is the child's welfare,”. she rcinarkCd, “and during all these years I have looked upon "him aS my own chiTd. “It is a pity that he was never, legally adopted by me, Otherwise- hp could not be taken from me now.” Mrs Henshaw had for maniy years lived in London, will! her husband and Roy. After her husbaml’s death She Went to Canada for a brief visit. The mother is said to have started legal proceedings for the boy’s recovery.
