FIFTEEN MURDERERS.
It is. expected -that fifteen persons who have been executed and interred within Newcastle Gaol (which is to be demdlfeiied) will be disinterred and removed to one of the cemeteries in Hie City. Home Office officials will visit the prison to inspect the arrangements for the removal. Strict secrecy has been enjoined by the authorities, and the reinterment vvil take place after nightfall. Among the bodies to be removed is that of Dickman, who was hanged for the murder of John limes Nisbet, a colliery cashier, in a eai'riage On the North-Eastern Railway in March, 1910. An extraordinary “confession” Was received recehtly by “Truth” from ah unknown man, who claimed to have committed the murder. The “confession” reached the Office of the newspaper by posL with an illegible postmark and nd clue to the 1 writer’s, identity.
