VANDERBILT WEDDING

The marriage look place at the Register Office, Prince’s Row, London, one morning recently, of' Mrs Edith Stuyvesant Vanderbilt, widow of Mr. George Washington Vanderbilt, who died in 1914, and Mr Peter Goelet Gerry, a member of the United States Senate. The arrangements for the wedding were not known to the public, and only a few friends were present when the bride arrived, shortly before 8.3 C a.m. After the civil ceremony a religious service was conducted by the Rev. H. B. Chapman at the Savoy Chapel. Senator and Mrs Gerry left for Paris later, and were to spend the honeymoon motoring on the Continent.
