DREAMED OF BURGLARS
£7OO THEFT THE NEXT NIGHT. A £7OO jewellery robbery, which took place last month at the house of Colonel G. McCarthy, in Branksome Wood Road, Bournemouth, seems tc have been foreshadowed by dreams. While the family were at dinner ti cat burglar climbed a slender piece ol trellis work used for training a creeping plant, entered Mrs McCarthy's bedroom, and stole her jewellery, which Included a diamond pendant and some family heirlooms. A servant entered the room ten minutes after Mrs McCarthy had lefi it to dine, and she found the empty jewel case on the floor. The previous night one of the servants dreamed that a burglar had entered the house and had stolen the jewellery. A doctor living in the same road had a similar dream. He awoke shouting, having dreamed that he was fighting a 'burglar in his house. He had to get out of bed, search the house, and examine the doors to assure himself that the vivid experience was only a dream.
