He induced the mother and daughter to be blindfolded, to grasp iron spikes and await manifestations. Three revolver shots rang out, the daughter tore ofl her bandages, aud was horrified to see her mother lying seriously wounded, her father dead, and the visitor decamping, after ransacking the till.
