MISSING NOVELIST

LOVE LETTERS FOUND. MOTORCAR SEEN AT MIDNIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Coiiv:,gnt. London, Dec. 13. The Daily Mail states that the police are piecing together fragments of love letters thrown from a motor-car containing a woman resembling Mrs. Christie and a man. The car remained in an unfrequented lane near Guilford from noon to midnight on the day after Mrs. Christie’s disappearance. The woman's hand-writing reads “Cannot stand it longer;” the man’s indicated that he was unable to do anything until he was wealthier. This car, accompanied by one similar to that of Mrs. Christie, was seen standing without lights at the same spot on the previous night. Later both drove in the direction of Newlands corner.
