QUESTIONS IN THE COMMONS, By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec. 12. In the House of Commons, Captain G. M. Garro-Jones (Liberal) asked Mr. L. C. M. S. Amery whether any of the Dominions were now associated with Britain in her responsibilities from the Locarno Pact. Mr. Amery replied that if he meant the obligations set out in article 9 the answer was in the negative. Captain Garro-Jones , asked if Mr. Amery was aware that’ the resolution submitted to the Imperial Relations* Committee had no solid meaning whatever. Had any representations been made to the Foreign Secretary, requesting that there be no further obligations resulting in the isolations of England ! 'Mr. Amery said he did not think the resolution mentioned was not a solid contribution. Mr. Robert Thomas (Liberal): Have the Dominions agreed to the optional clauses? Mr. Amery: There is no ratification of the optional clauses. Captain Hacking, replying to Sir J. H. Davidson, said he had noted Mr. Cook's speeches in Russia and trusted Mr. Cook's fellow trade unionists had also noted them. The whole situation was being most carefully watched. Mr. Lane Fox. answering Mr. Taylor (Labor.-), said that from the beginning of t*»e stoppage of the mines to the end of November 6,500,000 tons of German coal had been imported.
