SPECIAL ISSUE ON FRIDAY A special Christmas supplement at 16 pages, freely illustrated and can* taining numerous original stories and pictorial contributions, will be published with the usual issue of the Daily News next Friday. Included in the supplement will be the following features:— A Christmas message by the Rev. A. H. Collins. Original short stories by the winners in the short story competition. Essays by pupils of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School dealing with various phases of Taranaki history. Essays by pupils in the primary schools of Taranaki. Articles descriptive of early life in Taranaki and the celebration of Christmas fifty years ago. Christmas crackers and short sporting stories by “Nloturoa.” Original drawings by winners in the drawing competition. Christmas stories and articles (illustrated) by best known English writers. Puzzles, Christmas games, etc., for children. A children's story (illustrated) by the Queen of Roumania. Children’s Christmas playette. The supplement will be issued with the daily paper at the usual price (2d). Orders for extra copies should be placed as early as possible with the Daily News agents through Taranaki.
