Mrs. Elliott Lynn, urging women to take up flying, «aid that in the last three months there had been 270,000 injuries in street accidents in England, while not a single person had been injured in an aeroplane, carrying out ordinary duties, in a year. She wondered why people had courage to drive a cai where scores of dangers were lurking at every comer. It was easier to fly than to ride a push bicycle.
