DIMMING OF HEADLIGHTS
PRACTICE HELD DANGEROUS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Dee. 8. In giving judgment for £93 2s and costs against a motor-ear driver who dimmed his headlights when passing a motor'bus and knocked down a pedestrian, who claimed £124 for injuries sustained, the magistrate. Mr. McKean, said: “If a driver dims his headlights and proceeds along a highway when unable to see whether the path L clear, he caniiotisay he was keeping a careful look-out. The practice of dimming headlights may be driving courtesy, but it is a daifgerous one that may be followed by disastrous results."
