WELLINGTON MEETING PETER BINGEN WINS CUP. ELECTRIC TO BLACK ADMIRAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. There was a good attendance for the first day of the Wellington Trotting Club’s meeting'.- There was splendid weather and good trotting, and some exciting finishes were witnessed. The totalisator handled £16,334, which was less than last year, but then only a one day meeting was held, whereas the second day’s trotting will be held on Saturday. The New Zealand Trotting Cup attracted a classy field, and the event was won by the Christchurch horse, Mr. Simpson's Peter Bingen, which is trained by Kennerly (Christchurch) with Tom Thumb second and Holly Boy third. The Electric Handicap was won by Grant and Winter’s Black Admiral, which is trained by Edwards (Christchurch). Some splendid trotting was witnessed, rousing the spectators to enthusiasm. Onyx was second and Prince Pointer third. No records were broken, but the times were consistently good. The results are: —• NOVICE HANDICAP. Of 125 sovs. One mile and a half. 3—GREAT EARL (W.
