DEATH OF M. KRASSIN
BODY LYING IN STATE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 27, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 26. In a coffin resting on a red pall and surrounded by four black-robed, redribboned guards of honour, two men and two girls, the body of Krassin lies in state in the reception hall, which is draped in black and red, at Chesham House, the headquarters of the Soviet Embassy. COMMUNIST DEMONSTRATION. Received Nov. 28, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 27. M. Krassin’s funeral was made the occasion of an imposing Communist demonstration to Golders Green cemetery. Five thousand Communists formed a procession wearing red favours, while the service at the crematorium comprised eulogia and music. The ashes were taken to the Russian Embassy for burial under the walls of the Kremlin at Moscow. Thirty motors left the Embassy for Golders Green, the chief mourners riding in a magnificent Rolls-Royce car with a red-flagged bonnet, while the coffin was covered with a red pall.
