Many seamen will be affected unless a se lenient is soon reached. It is understood that pressure is being brought to bear on the wateraiders by other unions, with the object of bringing about normal working conditions. The watersiders are being urged to revert to constitutional measures and accept the offer of Mr. Justice Beeby. Sydney, Nov. 27. Several tons of cargo for Auckland could not be loaded on the Ulimaroa by 5 o’clock and had to ba left behind. Seamen on a coastal vessel refused to supply steam in a case where the owners attempted to use volunteer labour after the watersiders had knocked off.
