LARGE INCREASE IN TAKINGS. By Telegraph.—Press Association Auckland, Last Night. The gate takings at League football matches in Auckland during the season just ended amounted to £4232, a record in the history of the code. This sum is exclusive of the amounts taken at the New Zealand team’s trial games. The takings show an increase of £1077 over the previous season.
