LORD RECTOR INSTALLED

SIR A. CHAMBERLAIN AT GLASGOW By Telegraph—Pres* Asan.—Copyright. Received Nov. 3, 7.30 p.m. London, Nov. 2. Three thousand monocled students attended the installation of Sir Austen Chamberlain as Lord Rector of Glasgow University. Ragging was restricted to scientific manipulation of the monocle, in which even the scarletgowned young women in the front seats joined zealously. The only uproar was when Sir Austen removed his monocle, the students holding up the proceedings until it was replaced.
