RUSSIAN OPPOSITION

DISMISSAL OF THE LEADERS. By legraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 3, 10.10 p.m. Moscow, Nov. 2. It is stated that Trotsky, Zinovieff and Kameneff have broken their silence and defended their criticisms against Stalin’s administration. Trotsky maintained vigorously that unity was imperative in war time, but that Russia had now reached a stage where an Opposition was necessary and desirable. Stalin, amid hubbub, declared that the Central Committee, by the dismissal of the Opposition leaders, had taken the only possible course for the security of Soviet Russia.
