Kemal Pasha, opening the National Assembly, commented on the fact that the Budget had been balanced and predicted an acceleration of the progress of the country. He stressed pacific aims and said the delimitation of formalities on the Iraq and Syrian frontiers were in progress, and had a happy bearing on relations with Britain and France.
