ILLEGAL OPERATION.
old Woman found guilty. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The retrial of. Mary Ann Westoboy, aged 70, charged with using an instrument. for illegal purposes, occupied the whole day at the Supreme Court. ' The jury deliberated for three and ahalf hours and returned a verdict of guilty with a recommendation to mercy on account of accused’s age, and the fact that she had never previously been charged. Accused was remanded until to-mor-row for sentence.
