FIFTY PEOPLE GASSED.

PANIC IN FRENCH TOWN. London, June I. A Geneva message states that the whole of the population of Annemasse was thrown into a panic when a cylinder of chlorine exploded. The frantic people rushed into cellars and churches, or fell gasping on the roadways. Fifty were seriously gassed. Annemasse is a French town of about 3000 people in Haute-Savote, near the Swiss border. It is a few miles east of Geneva.
