The Paris correspondent of the Daily Express state-s that Persia is tired of tihe Shah, who prefers to live abroad, and as priests have persuaded the Persians that a republic is wrong, Reza Khan proposes to crown one of the young princes and appoint himself regent. Twelve years ago Reza was only a commissionaire at the legation, but during the war he became an officer, and General Sir William Ironside after the war appointed him organiser of the rabble of the Persian army. Consequently Reza found himself in command of an army which is now 40,000 strong.
