The whole State is being swept by a cyclone and torrential rain. Flood warnings were issued in the North Coa-st towns, 'where serious damage is expected. At Brisbane the residents have been warned to prepare for flood. Already heavy damage has been done. The whole of the New South Wales coast has been swept by terrific seas, and all small shipping is sheltering. The storm lias caused serious telegraphic and cable delays. Received June 22, 12.55 a.m. Sydney, June 21. Heavy and continuous rain and cyclonic winds continued during the weekend over the north and south coasts and the southern tablelands, with the result that large tracts of country are under water and the whole countryside is flooded. Canberra, Braidwood" and th» whole catchment area are submerged. Telegraphic communication with all southern towns is seriously interrupted. Railway lines are under water. Police with flood boats have been despatched to Forbes, where apparently Lachlan is flooded. There is no news from the north coast, but the severity of the gale has abated and the cyclone is moving south. Shipping circles state that the gale is the heaviest for many years. A mail man at Quenbezan is missing Apparently he was drowned in flood waters.
