RECENT OBSERVATION’S. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 18, 5.5 p.m. Vancouver, June 17. Mr. A. F. Douglas, director of the University of Arizona Observatory, at a meeting of the Pacific division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, held at Portland, Oregon, stated that photographs he made of Mars indicate that there was oonsidable atmosphere on the planet, the markings of which were green, signifying vegetation. The actual temperature had been measured and found to be between ranges conducive to life. This was the most important and latest of discoveries.
